Portugal is in mourning after a horrific accident involving Lisbon’s world-famous Elevador da Glória funicular. At least 15 people were killed when the historic yellow carriage derailed and crashed into a building during evening rush hour. The Gloria funicular, dating back to 1885, is one of Lisbon’s top tourist attractions, carrying millions of passengers each year between Restauradores Square and the Bairro Alto district.
