As part of Operation Sindhu, 292 Indian nationals were evacuated from Iran on a special flight that landed in New Delhi from Mashhad at 3:30 am today. According to MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, a total of 2,295 Indians have now been safely brought home from Iran. Many evacuees expressed their gratitude to the Indian government for the rescue efforts. One woman, en route to Mumbai, broke down in tears of joy after finally setting foot on home soil, relieved to have escaped the conflict in Iran.
