In a dramatic Oval Office announcement, U.S. President Donald Trump warned that Russia will face 100% tariffs if it does not agree to end the war in Ukraine within 50 days. Trump, speaking alongside NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, said the tariffs would not only target Russia but also its global trading partners in the form of “secondary sanctions.” The move signals a major escalation in economic pressure on President Vladimir Putin. Trump also revealed a renewed military support plan involving European allies purchasing U.S. weapons and transferring them to Ukraine. Countries like Germany, Canada, and Sweden are already on board.
