AIMIM Bihar president and MLA Akhtarul Iman reacted to the suspension of Maharashtra SP MLA Abu Azmi over his statement on Aurangzeb. Iman criticized the BJP, saying they use politics of hatred for political gain. He called Aurangzeb a noble emperor who lived simply, earning his livelihood by stitching caps, and didn't misuse taxpayers' money. He said Aurangzeb served the country, unifying India from Afghanistan to Burma (Myanmar), and treated both temples and mosques equally. Iman questioned why a controversy was being created over this. He urged the Supreme Court to take suo-motu action against such governments, calling the suspension of Abu Azmi unconstitutional.

The Haryana Assembly Election Results 2024 were recently announced and post the result, an intense discussion has been doing rounds on BJP’s win and Congress's defeat. The Congress party has been blaming the EVMs for its defeat in the state. While speaking on Congress party’s loss in Haryana elections, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that despite so many factors working against the BJP, Congress still couldn’t defeat it. He said, “...Congress party should have taken advantage of the 10 years of anti-incumbency, but it seems that due to their internal differences, BJP got the benefit. If you give the BJP even a little chance in the electoral battle, then the BJP takes advantage of it. After the 2024 elections in the Parliament, I had said that those who are saying that this is a big success on hatred, I had said at the time also that this is not the case, so who is responsible for the success of BJP? You (Congress) are the main opposition there and they had the golden opportunity to defeat BJP but they could not do it... despite so many factors working against the BJP, Congress still couldn’t defeat it…” On Congress blaming the EVMs for their defeat in the Haryana assembly elections, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “It is very easy to blame EVMs. You win due to EVMs and when you lose, then it is wrong. My opinion is that the BJP should have lost this state. There were many factors which were going against them...”
