Gadar 2 follows the story of Tara Singh portrayed by Sunny Deol who ventures across the border in a daring attempt to rescue his son who has been captured in Pakistan.

Ameesha Patel, who plays the iconic role of Sakeena in the Gadar franchise, spoke about the sequel's success. The actress also spoke about revisiting the character after 22 years and bringing it alive all over again.
