West Bengal Police arrested three people in connection with the death of Shekhar Chowdhury alias Bunty, personal assistant to former TMC MLA Sunil Singh. Chowdhury was allegedly beaten and attacked with bricks after stopping youths from drinking alcohol near his home in Garulia

A total of eight fire tenders reached the spot and, after hours of rigorous fire-fighting, managed to bring the fire under control.
