The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a public interest litigation seeking directions to the Centre to frame a national policy prohibiting the viewing of pornography in public places and curbing access by minors. The court observed that the matter falls within the domain of government policy and declined to issue directions.

Four minors are feared drowned after they were swept away by the strong current of the Yamuna River while bathing near Hiranki village in Delhi's Alipur area. Rescue teams, including multiple emergency agencies, have continued an intensive search operation for the second consecutive day after the incident on Sunday evening.
