Zampella died at age 55 following a fiery single-vehicle car crash on Angeles Crest Highway in Southern California. According to authorities, Zampella was driving a 2026 Ferrari 296 GTS when the vehicle veered off the road shortly after exiting a mountain tunnel, struck a concrete barrier, and burst into flames.
