Shivaji Park has turned into a fortress with high security around the area due to PM Modi Rally in Mumbai. A team of security was seen conducting security checks as the venue gears up for the event. Huge posters of PM Narendra Modi and the late Balasaheb Thackeray have been placed in and around the venue. Flags of BJP, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP have been lined up in the venue highlighting the Mahayuti alliance to support which PM Modi is coming to Mumbai today. In a significant move, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray will take the stage beside Prime Minister Modi.

After the grand roadshow of PM Modi at Ghatkopar East in Mumbai, PM Modi is set to hold a rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on 17th May. The rally turns even more historic as MNS Chief Raj Thackeray will be sharing the dias with PM Modi in the event. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed dismay over the ‘Gaddar’ word used against him by Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders. While speaking to ANI, he said that out of greed to become the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackrey betrayed the people, BJP, and Balasaheb Thackrey’s ideology. "The words used for me are applied to them. In 2019, they abandoned the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray...They sold the ideology of their father. They committed a sin and the public will never forgive them...In 2019, they betrayed their friend and the people of Maharashtra. They betrayed the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray. When we contested elections together, Shiv Sena and the BJP had the same ideology. People believed that there would be an alliance government and that is why they voted. But out of greed for the CM post, they went ahead with Congress and Sharad Pawar. This is betrayal...I don't use the kind of words they use. Balasaheb Thackeray and Anand Dighe didn't teach me that," said Eknath Shinde.

Shiv Sena President and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde welcomed the leader at the party office in Thane. Sanjay Nirupam was expelled from Congress on April 03 for indiscipline and anti-party statements. After the expulsion, Nirupam claimed that the disciplinary action against him came following his resignation from the party’s primary membership.
