Mumbai rains continue to batter the city as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issues a Red Alert for extremely heavy rainfall. Torrential showers have triggered severe waterlogging across several parts of the city, including Andheri Subway, Kurla, Dadar, Churchgate and Pedder Road, disrupting traffic and daily life.

The Maharashtra government has announced full state honours for the last rites of Ajit Pawar, who passed away following a tragic plane crash near Baramati while on official political travel.
