India has stepped up its humanitarian response to Nepal's devastating floods, sending a second tranche of relief supplies as rescue operations continue across the flood-hit Himalayan nation. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said India has dispatched 37.5 tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief material, including medicines and food packets. This follows an earlier shipment of 10 tonnes of emergency supplies. The crisis has also put a spotlight on Indian tourists. Nepal's Foreign Minister has said around 300 Indian tourists are among those reported missing, while authorities continue to verify the numbers.

A devastating flash flood in Nepal's Rasuwa district has triggered a massive search-and-rescue operation after the Bhote Koshi River suddenly surged through the region. A preliminary list prepared by the Nepal Tourism Board says 384 travellers are reported missing, including 105 Indian nationals. The list includes 291 foreign nationals and 93 Nepali nationals whose whereabouts are being verified. The disaster has reportedly killed at least seven people, while 25 people have been rescued so far. Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police personnel have been deployed, with 14 helicopters involved in search-and-rescue efforts.
