Jr Mehmood Funeral: Veteran actor Naeem Sayyed, popularly known as Junior Mehmood, was battling stomach cancer. The actor passed away at his home in Khar, Mumbai on December 8 at the age of 67.  A statement from the family read, "Junior Mehmood passed away at 2:15 am at his residence. Veteran film, television and stage actor Vikram Gokhale died on November 26. His family organized a prayer meet on Wednesday, December 21 at ISKCON in Juhu. The prayer meet was attended by several film personalities including Johnny Lever, Dalip Tahil, and Shabana Azmi. Actors Gajendra Singh Chauhan and Abhay Bhargav were seen together at the prayer meet. Johnny Lever and Abhay Bhargav along with CINTAA chairperson Amit Behl lit the lamp in front of Gokhale's portrait. Actor Anag Desai also paid his tribute to the late actor during the prayer meet.
