Pappu’s Yadav merged his Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) with Congress on March 20 ahead of Lok Sabha elections 2024. The Jan Adhikar Party president lauded Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi while addressing a press conference in Delhi. He further slammed Bharatiya Janata Party and terming it as a party of a ‘dictator’. He went on to say that alongside Congress he’ll work hard for the betterment of Bihar.

PM Modi on March 04 in Telangana’s Adilabad countered Lalu Yadav’s remarks and said that 140 crore people of the country are my family members. Hitting back at the opposition parties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said "Mera Bharat, Mera Parivaar," saying all of India was his family and that his life was like an "open book. He also said that the people of the country know him and are also concern about his health when he works till late at night.
