Fresh violence erupted in Manipur's Senapati and Kangpokpi districts after several houses were burnt and a CRPF jawan was injured in a gunfight between two groups

The court also asked the Manipur and Assam governments to consider setting up two special trial courts to hear CBI and NIA cases arising from the violence. The bench was hearing the issue of rehabilitation of the people who lost their dwelling houses and sources of livelihood during the violence
