The suspect, known for his elaborate disguises and use of masks and gloves mainly targeted housing societies located near special transport vehicles. Further investigation showed that the stolen funds were used to buy farmland in his hometown, secure property in Mumbai, and accumulate a sizeable bank balance. Police have now seized assets worth nearly Rs 35 lakh believed to be acquired through his illegal activities.
