Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar on July 25 schooled Chidambaram during the monsoon session in Rajya Sabha. Chidambaram was talking about Derek O'brien's statement and rule 267 motion in the house. The VP asked the congress MP to scratch his memory and remember the facts said in the house very well. He added that Chidambaram has challenged the chair by objecting the VP. 

The Indian economy can beat any crisis like it did in 1991, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said today, adding that reforms were necessary to ensure the "sharp and continuing decline in growth" is averted.
