Amid the NEET Re-exam row, a major legal showdown has erupted after Telegram challenged the Centre's decision to temporarily restrict access to the platform. The government says the move is necessary to stop fake paper leak claims, exam scams and misinformation targeting students. The NTA claims several Telegram channels were allegedly demanding money from candidates by falsely promising access to question papers. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has criticised the decision, arguing that millions of ordinary users are being punished despite the platform removing hundreds of suspicious channels.  

The Congress government in Telangana announced plans to inaugurate a "Donald Trump Avenue" in Hyderabad. The BJP is now accusing Congress of hypocrisy, asking why a Congress government is honouring the very leader its national leadership has criticised.
