Sreesanth replaces injured Praveen in World Cup squad

A court in New Delhi on Saturday dropped charges against cricketer S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila, Ankeet Chavan, and 33 others accused in the 2013 Indian Premier League spot-fixing case. 

Former Cricketer S Sreesanth said he would approach Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to lift the ban imposed on him after he was convicted by a court for spot fixing.

Former Indian pacer S. Sreesanth on Sunday said he won't give up cricket even after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Sreesanth, who joined the BJP in presence of party chief Amit Shah, said the actual age to retire from cricket is 42 and he still has many years to play for the nation.



Former cricketer S. Sreesanth filed his nomination papers in Trivandrum on Thursday.

Voting for the one-phase Kerala assembly elections begins at 7 a.m on Monday amid tight security.
