Amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha Election 2024, Union Minister and BJP candidate from Mumbai North, Piyush Goyal went for a morning walk and greeted people as part of his election campaign on April 28. Mumbai North goes to polls on May 20. Piyush Goyal said that the people of Mumbai are enjoying the world-class infrastructure that has started coming up in Mumbai. “We are getting a lot of blessings for the leadership and work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi... Who can forget the days when our mothers and sisters had to go to fields in villages to defecate, half the population of the country did not have LPG cylinders... Many problems have been worked upon... People of Mumbai are enjoying that finally world-class infrastructure has started coming up in Mumbai”, said Piyush Goyal. BMC's Mumbai Coastal Road Project Arch String Girder (Bridge) was successfully installed on April 26. After a lot of anticipation finally, Mumbai Coastal Road Project and Bandra-Worli Sea Link got connected successfully. Earlier, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) allocated Rs 3200 crore for its ambitious Mumbai Coastal Road project in its 2022-23 budget. As per BMC data, the coastal road project got the highest share of budget allocation by BMC for the year 2022-23 at 17 per cent. This will benefit commuters, especially during peak hours in the morning and the evening when there's heavy traffic. Speaking to ANI, General Manager Planning of Hindustan Construction Company, Pawan Padiyar said, “The Bandra-Worli Sea Link was also constructed by Hindustan Construction Company, one of the iconic project in Mumbai. We are glad this time also we have constructed this iconic bridge for costal road. It is also adjacent to Bandra-Worli Sea Link. It is changing the aesthetics of Mumbai.” He further informed about the materials that were used in constructing this massive bridge.

Businessman Narayana Murty cast his vote at the BES polling station in Bengaluru along with his wife and author Sudha Murty. Voting for remaining seats in Karnataka will take place on May 07 and results will be declared on June 04. Sudha Murty shared a special message for young voters after casting her vote in the Lok Saba elections 2024. She urged people to come out and vote. On 24th of April, a gruesome murder took place near India Gate, New Delhi. A 25-year-old ice cream vendor named Prabhakar was stabbed to death during a fight near India Gate late Wednesday evening. A case of murder was registered under Section 302 IPC. The preliminary investigation suggests that Prabhat was selling ice cream when he had an argument with a customer over payment. The matter escalated and the accused stabbed Prabhat with a knife, before running away from the crime spot. Prabhat rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. The police arrested the accused, who was on the run after identifying him with the assistance of CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops. He has been brought to the police station for further information.
