Security beefed up in Ayodhya as the city gears up for the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22. Speaking on security arrangements in Ayodhya, Prashant Kumar, UP Special DG of Law & Order, said on January 21 that over 13,000 personnel have been deployed for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration mega event. He also stated that over 10,000 CCTV cameras have been installed. He went on to say that the smooth completion of the Pran Pratishtha Ceremony is both a challenge and an opportunity for the Uttar Pradesh Police. The ceremony scheduled for January 22 will witness the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple. It is expected to be attended by hundreds of officials, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Celebration time as Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff-starrer iconic movie 'Khalnayak' is re-releasing in theatres on September 5 to celebrate 30 years of the film. Director Subhash Ghai, Balaram Prasad a.k.a Sanjay Dutt, Ram Kumar Sinha a.k.a Jackie Shroff reunited for the film's screening. 'Choli Ke Pooche Kya Hai' singers la Arun and Alka Yagnik also graced the event. Sanjay Dutt looked handsome in a blue that he teamed up with a pyjama. And amped up his look with a shawl and a pair of black sunglasses. Jackie Shroff opted for a classic black shirt and denim. IAF’s fighter aircraft Su-30MKI recently displayed its might over the Indian Ocean Region. The flanker carried out eight-hour-long missions in the Indian Ocean Region on a different axis. The fighter aircraft were supported by mid-air refuelling aircraft IL-78 MKI. IAF’s exercises in the Indian Ocean Region are significant as the Chinese presence has significantly increased in the region. The Indian Ocean serves as a strategic bridge with the nations in India's immediate and extended maritime neighbourhood. In a tragic incident, an express train and a goods train met with an accident in Balasore on June 02. Around 10-12 coaches of Coromandel Express derailed near Bahanaga Railway station and ‘infringed’ into the opposite track. Another train coming on the same track, side crashed into the derailed coaches of Coromandel Express and also got derailed. According to the latest reports, several people are feared dead and over 300 people got injured in the mishap. The injured have been shifted to Soro CHC, Gopalpur CHC, and Khantapada PHC, and Bhadrak DHC. As many as 3 NDRF, 4 ODRAF teams, several fire services units, and nearly 100 ambulances have been rushed to the side. Special Relief Commissioner along with senior officers, DG Fire Services have been sent to the spot. Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also reached the SRC control room to monitor the situation. President Droupadi Murmu and PM Modi also expressed their condolences and promptly took action to address the situation.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended 'Hindu Ekta Yatra' in Hyderabad’s Karimnagar of Telangana on May 13. Addressing the rally, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma targeted AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi over the recently released film ‘The Kerala Story’ which raised controversies and political discussions. He said that ‘Love Jihad’ has raised an alarm in Assam that led to the closing of 600 ‘Madarsas’ in 2 years and assured to shut another 300 in one year. Earlier, Owaisi had questioned the filmmakers of ‘The Kerala Story’ if the movie is based on facts or fiction.
