Ayodhya Ram Mandir: 10,000 CCTVs installed, 13000 security personnel deployed

Security beefed up in Ayodhya as the city gears up for the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22.  Speaking on security arrangements in Ayodhya, Prashant Kumar, UP Special DG of Law & Order, said on January 21 that over 13,000 personnel have been deployed for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration mega event. He also stated that over 10,000 CCTV cameras have been installed. He went on to say that the smooth completion of the Pran Pratishtha Ceremony is both a challenge and an opportunity for the Uttar Pradesh Police. The ceremony scheduled for January 22 will witness the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple. It is expected to be attended by hundreds of officials, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Three trains collided within minutes in Odisha; several dead, over 300 injured

In a tragic incident, an express train and a goods train met with an accident in Balasore on June 02. Around 10-12 coaches of Coromandel Express derailed near Bahanaga Railway station and ‘infringed’ into the opposite track. Another train coming on the same track, side crashed into the derailed coaches of Coromandel Express and also got derailed. According to the latest reports, several people are feared dead and over 300 people got injured in the mishap. The injured have been shifted to Soro CHC, Gopalpur CHC, and Khantapada PHC, and Bhadrak DHC. As many as 3 NDRF, 4 ODRAF teams, several fire services units, and nearly 100 ambulances have been rushed to the side. Special Relief Commissioner along with senior officers, DG Fire Services have been sent to the spot. Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also reached the SRC control room to monitor the situation. President Droupadi Murmu and PM Modi also expressed their condolences and promptly took action to address the situation.
