The Indian Navy launched DSC A24, the fifth vessel under its indigenous Diving Support Craft project, at Titagarh Rail Systems in Kolkata. Built under the Make in India initiative, the advanced vessel is equipped with state-of-the-art diving systems to strengthen the Navy's offshore operational capabilities

The vessel has been constructed by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) in Kochi and represents India's focus on self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, an official statement said on Thursday
