During his remarks on Motion of Thanks on the President's Address in the Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi fired a scathing salvo on Opposition for allegedly supporting corrupt leaders and warned the ‘looters’. On his government’s action against corruption, PM Modi says, "The country is shocked seeing the stackes of cash being recovered…". In his speech, PM Modi said that, “During the tenure of Congress, ED confiscated properties of ₹5,000 crore only. However, during our tenure, the ED has confiscated properties worth ₹1 lakh crore. You will have to shell out the plundered money,” he asserted on the same.

PM Modi Gets Emotional While Addressing PMAY Scheme Beneficiaries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday was overwhelmed with emotions as he dedicated more than 90,000 houses completed under PMAY-Urban in Maharashtra. A total of 15,000 newly constructed houses of Raynagar Housing Society in Solapur were handed over to beneficiaries, including handloom workers, vendors, power loom workers, rag pickers, Bidi workers, drivers, and others. Addressing a gathering in Solapur, the prime minister said, “Under the PM Awas Yojana, the inauguration of the country's largest society has taken place." Fighting back his tears, he added, “I went to see it and wished if I had a chance to live in such a house when I was a kid. I feel content when I see that the dreams of thousands of families have been fulfilled. And their blessings are the biggest asset for me.”

'Ahlan Modi': PM Modi To Address Indian Diaspora In Abu Dhabi On Feb 13

Dubai is all set to host the largest gathering of Indian diaspora titled 'Ahlan Modi' on Feb 13 in Dubai. PM Modi will address the mass gathering during his upcoming visit to the United Arab Emirates next month. The event, whose title roughly translates to 'Hello Modi' will be held at Sheikh Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The organisers expect to fill the stadium to its fullest capacity, as per the statement issued. According to the release, an "unprecedented euphoria" has been witnessed for the event in UAE with almost 12, 000 registrations received within 24 hours of the announcement. Meanwhile, PM Modi became the first Indian PM to visit the UAE after a gap of 34 years. Notably, PM Modi will also inaugurate the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14.

Ganesh Chaturthi 2023, Mumbai’s favourite festival has kickstarted from 19 September. All the devotees have installed the Ganesh idols at their homes and are gathering in huge numbers at the famous Ganesh Pandals in Mumbai. Sarvajanik Shree Ganeshotsav Mandal, which is the oldest one in Mumbai, started after Bal Gangadhar Tilak made a call for it in 1893. There is more to the history of this Ganesh Pandal and these chawls as some of the famous personalities have dwelled here. It was the same chawl where Swatantraveer Savarkar had sent a pistol concealed in a dictionary from London to encourage a freedom struggle against the British. PM Modi on August 26 reached Delhi after meeting ISRO scientists involved in Chandrayaan-3 mission. He addressed the public as he had returned from his two-nation visit to South Africa and Greece. However, the PM had to halt his speech for a while as a person in the crowd fainted. PM immediately asked his team of doctors to respond and check if the person was fine. Khalistan supporters in Australia have received a major blow following PM Modi’s visit to the country. After several complaints against SFJ by the Indian Community in Australia, Sydney Masonic Centre cancelled Khalistan Referendum event. The propaganda event was scheduled to be organised on June 4. However, in new development, the booking has been cancelled after security agencies’ intervention. Notably, Indian PM Narendra Modi was recently in Australia for a three-day visit. During his visit, Australian PM Albanese assured PM Modi of “strict action” against the extremist group. This was not the first time that PM Modi discussed the issue of temple vandalism in Australia. During PM Albanese’s visit to India, PM Modi had discussed and raised the same issue with him. Earlier, Blacktown City Council had decided to cancel the propaganda event amid complaints against Sikhs For Justice. As per Australia Today, in Jan 2023, 3 iconic Hindu temples outside the Indian subcontinent were vandalized.
