External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ahmedabad on April 02. While addressing the event, the External Affairs Minister categorically spoke about the India-China issues. He further hit out at India’s first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru-led government and alleged that they made policies that favoured China more than India itself. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said, "In 1950, there was an exchange of views between Sardar Patel and (Jawaharlal) Nehru... Sardar Patel had warned Jawaharlal Nehru about China. Sardar Patel said that today we are facing a situation of two fronts (Pakistan and China), which for India has never happened in our history before. Sardar Patel also said that whatever the Chinese are saying, he feels that their intent is not good, and therefore, let us take precautions, and build a policy around this. Nehru's position was that he was completely dissenting. He replied to Patel that you are unnecessarily suspicious of the Chinese... Also, it is impossible for anybody to attack us across the Himalayas".

EAM S Jaishankar held a delegation level meeting with Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on March 29 in Delhi. In his opening remark during delegation meet with Ukraine FM, EAM Jaishankar said that a very substantial agenda for discussions has been made. Humiliating China, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on March 07 at the Raisina Roundtable in Tokyo said “Whether you like or don’t like it. There’s reality out there. You have to deal with that reality.” Citing the Galwan Vally Clashes on the Line of Actual Control in 2020, he said that when a country does not agree with written agreements with neighbors it becomes a cause for concern. “When there are very big shifts in capability and influence and presumably ambitions then there are all accompanying political and strategic consequences of that. The Committee on External Affairs highlighted that Pakistan’s ISI is providing a haven to terrorist outfits. ISI is Pakistan’s agency responsible for providing intelligence inputs to the country’s military. The report highlighted that terrorism in India is sponsored from across the border. The Committee on External Affairs presented their 28th report on ‘Countering Global Terrorism at Regional and International Levels’. The report emphasised an action plan and mechanism to root out terrorist networks in the neighbouring countries. For a long time, Pakistan has been accused of being a ‘terror hub’ and providing shelter to terror groups. India has strained ties with Pakistan because of its continuous infiltration attempts in Jammu & Kashmir. Post abrogation of Article 370, India-Pakistan relations have nosedived.
