A passenger flight, Flydubai FZ981, crashed in southern Russia. All 59 passengers and six crew on board are reported to have been killed in the crash. Russia's emergencies ministry said the aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, crashed at the airport in Rostov at the end of a flight from Dubai.

A 70-year-old women passenger on wheelchair was reportedly prohibited from boarding an Air India flight to New York purportedly due to over booking of the plane. Divulging details, the passenger's daughter Rupal Shukla said her wheelchair-bound mother faced difficulty but no assistance was provided to her.
