Para-athlete Suvarna Raj, who has represented the country in global events, on February 3 accused the IndiGo airline crew of 'mistreatment', saying she requested the carrier to provide her a personal wheelchair at the aircraft door but the staff did not respond. On the IndiGo’s mistreatment, Suvarna alleged that she was mistreated by IndiGo crew members while taking a flight from New Delhi to Chennai. Suvarna had booked seat number 39D(Aisle) on the Chennai-bound flight on Friday. Following an incident of alleged assault against an IndiGo pilot on board, Air India's pilot Captain Zoya Agarwal condemned the IndiGo Slapgate incident and asserted that violence is not the way in any situation."It sends chills down my spine, violence is not the way in any situation...forget about when it happens with the Pilot, a crew member is a professional, the same person is going to be flying all of you. A Japanese airplane A350 on Jan 2 was engulfed in flames at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. The passenger airplane caught fire after a possible collision with a Coast Guard aircraft. In a video obtained by Reuters, stranded passengers can be seen screaming and panicking. After a row erupted over the opening of the emergency exit door of an IndiGo aircraft by BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai who was also onboard at the time of the incident, has said that Surya "accidentally touched the emergency door" but it was not his fault that the flight got delayed. Annamalai’s comments a day after Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said the emergency exit door of an IndiGo flight last year was opened by "mistake".
