India has stepped up its humanitarian response to Nepal's devastating floods, sending a second tranche of relief supplies as rescue operations continue across the flood-hit Himalayan nation. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said India has dispatched 37.5 tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief material, including medicines and food packets. This follows an earlier shipment of 10 tonnes of emergency supplies. The crisis has also put a spotlight on Indian tourists. Nepal's Foreign Minister has said around 300 Indian tourists are among those reported missing, while authorities continue to verify the numbers.

An LPG tanker carrying 28 Indian crew members came under attack in Iranian territorial waters, raising fresh concerns over maritime security amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. The Embassy of India in Tehran confirmed that all 28 Indian nationals aboard the Mozambique-flagged vessel DISHA are safe and said it remains in close contact with the relevant authorities. While officials have not disclosed the nature of the attack or the extent of damage to the vessel, the incident has intensified concerns over the safety of commercial shipping in the region.
