The victory rally began with preparations stretching from Shivaji Park to the Siddhivinayak Temple, with thousands of supporters joining the march carrying the Indian tricolour. The event, initially planned as a solidarity march over alleged NEET irregularities and police action against students, transformed into a victory procession after Pradhan's resignation. Addressing the gathering, Raj Thackeray described the student movement as a watershed moment, saying Gen Z had demonstrated its power to hold governments accountable through democratic protest. Amit Thackeray, son of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, is currently trailing in the Mahim assembly constituency in Mumbai. He is facing stiff competition from Mahesh Sawant of Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sada Sarvankar of Shiv Sena, who won the seat in both 2014 and 2019. According to the latest data from the Election Commission, Amit Thackeray is falling behind both Sawant and Sarvankar in the race.
