A major weapons discovery in southern Lebanon is putting fresh focus on the fragile Israel-Lebanon ceasefire. The Israel Defense Forces says troops operating in the south Lebanon buffer zone discovered a Hezbollah fighting position containing a rocket launcher and 32 rockets that were reportedly ready for use against Israeli territory. Israel has carried out fresh strikes in Gaza, with the IDF saying three Hamas weapons depots and a rocket launch pit were destroyed. According to the Israeli military and Shin Bet, the facilities were linked to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad and contained dozens of weapons, including rockets and Kalashnikov rifles. The strikes come amid a fragile Gaza ceasefire and growing Israeli allegations that Hamas is rebuilding its weapons stockpile and attempting to re-establish military control.
