Berating her opponent, BJP leader also alleged that Asaduddin Owaisi is leading his community towards destruction. “Asaduddin Owaisi is leading his community towards destruction. PM Narendra Modi has brought about so many schemes, and tell me which scheme has Hindu-Muslim written on it?... People like Akbaruddin Owaisi and Asaduddin Owaisi are poisoning people's minds. When they along with Congress say they will give everything to the Muslims, where will 120 crore Hindus go?,” said Madhavi Latha.

The BJP candidate from the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, Kompella Madhavi Latha on Sunday ridiculed the complaint filed against her controversial arrow gesture towards a mosque and said if she were against the Muslims, then why would she participate in a procession during the holy month of Ramzan and distribute food to many people with her own hands?Reacting to this, she told ANI, "On the occasion of Ram Navami...for a Dhanush that didn't exist, for the Teer (arrow) that didn't exist, and for the reaction of the teer coming out that wasn't there, they made a false video of mine...They have made an allegation and registered an FIR..."Owaisi, who has served four terms in the Lok Sabha as the elected representative from Hyderabad since 2004, was previously elected as an MLA twice in the erstwhile undivided Andhra Pradesh. The Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency comprises seven assembly segments--Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Goshamahal, Karwan, Malakpet and Yakatpura. All assembly seats, except Goshamahal, are presently held by the AIMIM. Since 1984, candidates from the Owaisi family or those supported by them, have been elected from Hyderabad, with Asaduddin Owaisi currently serving as the Lok Sabha member from the prestigious seat.

Talking about the viral video in which AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi was seen praising a beef shop owner, Bharatiya Janata Party Lok Sabha candidate from Hyderabad constituency Madhavi Latha made attacks on him claimed that the latter doesn’t respect his on religion. "I don't understand how Asaduddin Owaisi became a barrister. He keeps talking about personal law. According to personal law, a 'Fatwa' is something that is to be obeyed by all... When there is a Fatwa that beef should not be consumed, then how is he going against the Fatwa. This means he does not respect his own religion... Is the life of a Muslim so small that it revolved around cutting and consuming beef? You are asking for votes on this?... Why is he making the lives of Muslims so small?... He should speak of getting an education and being something for the country... What does it mean to cut beef? Did he not get anything else to ask for votes?... On April 17, BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Hyderabad constituency Madhavi Latha, criticized the Telangana government over police denying permission for Ram Navami Shobha Yatra of BJP MLA Raja Singh. Talking to the media, Madhavi Latha said that they gave permission for Ramadan celebrations but denied permission for Shobha Yatra citing Model Code of Conduct. “Ramadan was also during the time of election code. But they didn’t shut down masjids. Why they are not giving permission to Raja Singh. He holds Ram Navami Shobha Yatra from a very long time. They want to create divide between Hindus and Muslims,” she said.

Denouncing the recently enacted Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) once again, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi went all guns blazing against BJP on March 16 in Hyderabad, Telangana. During a press conference, he alleged that the BJP government wants to make the poor and Muslims stateless. "Our case (challenging CAA) is already in the Supreme Court but at that time govt of India said that the rules are yet not framed. But now as the govt has issued the notifications and has framed the rules for CAA, going to the Supreme Court is a must. If the govt starts giving citizenship based on an unconstitutional law, it can be harmful... This govt is saying that if your religion is Islam, we won't provide you the citizenship, for this we have moved to the Supreme Court. The law was passed in 2019 by the ruling party, but they keep it as it is, when they saw that there would be an announcement for elections in a week, they came up with rules in the night by keeping in mind, the elections. The BJP-led govt wants to make the poor and Muslims stateless.
