Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised BJP Chief Annamalai for his initiative En Mann En Makkal Yatra. He attended the last leg of the ‘En Mann En Makkal Yatra’ in Tamil Nadu. The Prime Minister publically showed his love and appreciation towards Tamil Nadu’s BJP Chief K Annamalai. PM Modi gave a pat on his back after the former concluded his speech. However, this is not the first time when a Karyakarta has received applause from a top BJP leader for his performance. Earlier, when PM Modi was BJP's Karyakarta, he also received the same affection from Atal Bihari Vajpayee. A sea of people gathered at the closing ceremony of ‘En Mann En Makkal Yatra’ to get a glimpse of PM Modi. BJP’s State President K Annamalai travelled across 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu during ‘Padayatra’.

President Murmu paid floral tribute to the former prime minister on his 100th birth anniversary. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar paid obeisance to Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his memorial. PM Narendra Modi also paid tribute to the 10th prime minister of India on his birth anniversary. Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed intentions of normalising ties with India. While speaking to ticket aspirants of his party, Sharif called for improving ties with New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu and VP Jagdeep Dhankhar paid floral tributes at the 'Sadaiv Atal' memorial today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reached the 'Sadaiv Atal' memorial to pay homage to the former PM. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also paid tributes to the former PM. Born in Gwalior in 1924, Vajpayee was BJP’s face for decades and was the first non-Congress PM to serve a full term in office. Vajpayee breathed his last on August 16, 2018, after a prolonged illness.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday announced that Versova–Bandra Sea Link will be named as Veer Savarkar Setu and Mumbai Trans Harbour Link to be renamed as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Smruti Nhava Sheva Atal Setu. The decision to rename MTHL was taken in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Other than this, Maharashtra cabinet also decided to expand the limit of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yogana from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh. Last month, Eknath Shinde, had announced that Versova-Bandra Sea Link will be named after Savarkar. The decision was approved by the cabinet today.The upcoming Versova-Bandra Sea link will connect Andheri to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link as part of the coastal road project. The MTHL will connect Mumbai to Navi Mumbai. The construction work of the sea link is expected to be over by the end.
