Sanjay Singh was released from Delhi’s Tihar Jail on bail on April 3. The ED on April 2, informed the SC that the agency has no objection to Sanjay Singh getting bail. A bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna directed the release of Sanjay Singh . Bail was granted during pendency of trial in a money laundering case relating to excise policy irregularities. AAP workers played drums and celebrated the release of Sanjay Singh. While addressing a press conference after his release from jail he attacked BJP and said when BJP speaks about corruption it seems like Osama Bin Laden is speaking about non-violence. Stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui is yet again in limelight. Let us tell you that the Bigg Boss 17 winner along with 13 other people were detained by Mumbai police on Mar 26. They were detained in a late-night raid from a hookah parlour in the Fort area in south Mumbai. Munawar was one of the popular contestants of the 17th season of the Bigg Boss house. According to the Mumbai Police, a case was registered against Faruqui and 13 more people. The raid, prompted by a tip-off received by the SS branch, targeted the hookah bar situated at Bora Bazar, falling within the jurisdiction of MRA Marg police station. After verifying that tobacco was being smoked, an offence was registered under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act However, the stand up comedian was later let off after the case was lodged. A police officer said that since it was a bailable offence, the accused were not imprisoned.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal appeared before Rouse Avenue Court in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case on March 16. He appeared before ACMM Divya Malhotra following the summons issued to him by the court. The court granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal on a bail bond of Rs 15,000 and a surety of Rs 1 lakh. Rouse Avenue Court issued the summons based on two ED complaints in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case. Earlier, Rouse Avenue Court on Mar 15 refused to stay the summons issued to Delhi CM on complaints filed by ED.

Soon after Islamabad High Court granted protective bail to former Pakistan PM Imran Khan in an alleged graft case, Celebrations begin in various parts of Pakistan as scores of PTI celebrated Imran’s release with full energy. The ousted Prime Minister was arrested in an Al-Qadir Trust graft case outside the Islamabad High Court by Pakistani Rangers on May 09. Imran was arrested soon after his anti-military remark and was brutally thrashed by security personnel outside the court premises. In April last year, Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan was ousted in a non-confidence vote.

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan was arrested during a court appearance in the capital Islamabad on May 09. The Cricketer-turned-politician was arrested in an Al-Qadir Trust graft by Pakistan Rangers. Security Expert Tilak Devasher called the arrest of Imran Khan “An important development in Pakistan”. On the other hand, reacting to the PTI Chief arrest, Defence Expert Qamar Agha mentioned it ‘Army’s big plan’. Meanwhile, Defence Expert SP Sinha alleged that Asim Munir has done this work with Shehbaz Sharif. Imran Khan, who was facing corruption charges in the Toshakhana case, was arrested from outside the Islamabad High Court by Rangers. Section 144 has been enforced and action will be taken in case of violation. However, the Police rejected PTI’s allegations that people were tortured.

A Delhi Court on Friday extended (AAP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s (ED) custody for further five days in connection with the excise policy case. After the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 26 arrested him, the ED, on March 9, also arrested Sisodia in the same. Meanwhile, Manish Sisodia's residence has been handed to Atishi, who was inducted into the Cabinet earlier this month, more than a fortnight after his detention by the CBI in the Delhi excise policy case.

Former Home Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh was welcomed by key leaders of his party and supporters as he was released from Mumbai's Arthur Road jail after more than a year. Sukesh Chandrashekhar, using some mobile applications and voice modulation softwares, had duped Aditi Singh, wife of former Ranbaxy owner Shivendra Singh who is in jail. He extorted Rs 215 crore from Aditi on the pretext of helping her husband get out of jail. According to the ED chargesheet, Jacquline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi received gifts from conman Sukesh from that money. The conman appeared in the Rs 200 crore scam case at Patiala House court today. Actor Jacqueline Fernandez also appeared in the court for the same case. Earlier in August this year, Fernandez was named as an accused in the extortion case, as the actor received luxurious gifts from conman Chandrashekar by cheating high profile people. The actor’s lawyers said they would continue to fight for her dignity, claiming she was innocent. Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has duped hundreds of wealthy people, and was in contact with several bollywood celebs including Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi, and Nikki Tamboli. He has been in police custody regarding the money laundering case for the past one year. He met these Bollywood actresses through Pinky Irani, who is also in judicial custody.
