Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai, spoke about DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Sanatana Dharma should be eradicated' remark stating that Stalin’s comment on Sanatana Dharma is condemnable and his statement shows his Hitler mentality, this is done to attract a class in elections. As per a resolution passed in Maharashtra's state assembly on Tuesday, Karnataka's government is being accused of oppressing and unfairly treating the Marathi population in border states. This comes just days after the Karnataka assembly passed a resolution reiterating its determination not to cede any land from its borders and condemning Maharashtra's attempts to stir passion on an issue which is now a "completed chapter”.The resolution said: “Maharashtra condemns Karnataka government’s anti-Marathi stance and how the Marathi population living in border areas have been receiving secondary treatment for years, they have been oppressed and treated unfairly.” It aimed at bringing back 865 Marathi-speaking villages in Karnataka, to Maharashtra.

Chaityabhoomi at Shivaji Park is the memorial of Ambedkar, a key architect of India's Constitution. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, State Tourism and Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, BMC chief Iqbal Chahal, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, Maharashtra Congress Chief Nana Patole and many others were present with the chief minister on the occasion.
