AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on January 28 slammed Nitish Kumar after he rejoined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar. Reacting on Nitish Kumar Resignation, Owaisi said, “Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav, PM Modi should apologise to the people of Bihar... Amid the Bihar political crisis, as Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Bihar’s Chief Minister dissolving the current government that was formed through an alliance with the Lalu Prasad Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge reacted to the same. Amid the ongoing Bihar political crisis, Nitish Kumar has resigned as Bihar Chief Minister. Nitish Kumar tendered his resignation as the Chief Minister of Bihar to Governor Rajendra Arlekar. The Governor accepted the resignation and deputed him as the Acting CM. For days it was speculated that Nitish Kumar would join the BJP-led NDA. He is expected to rejoin NDA possibly later today, marking his return to the BJP led alliance. This has come as a jolt to the opposition headed I-N-D–I-A alliance as he was a key member. In his recent stint, he served as the Chief Minister of Bihar in alliance with the Lalu Prasad Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress. Earlier in the morning, BJP leaders gathered in Patna for a party meeting. Though the leaders were mum about the ongoing RJD-JDU rift, speculations of a coalition were high.

Bihar Political Turmoil: Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh on January 27 exuded his confidence in BJP forming the Bihar government in 2025. He went on to call Nitish Kumar a “Vyakul aatma”. Speaking to ANI, he said, “We will form government in Bihar in 2025. People of Bihar will vote for BJP in Lok Sabha in 2024, and in Bihar in 2025. I am just observing what’s going on in the state.”
