BJP leader Tejasvi Surya cast his vote at polling booth number 70 in Bengaluru on April 26. The party has fielded him from Bengaluru South constituency for the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to ANI, he took a veiled jibe at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, He said, “The fact that Mallikarjun Kharge wants to meet the Prime Minister to explain his party manifesto indicates that perhaps even the Congress realises that it will be the PM who will implement some good ideas that may be present in the Congress manifesto. Perhaps this is the admission of Congress that they are not coming anywhere near power for the next two decades.”

BJP has faced a major setback in Haryana. BJP leader and Lok Sabha MP from Hisar, Brijendra Singh joined Congress on March 10 ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Brijendra joined the party in the presence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Brijendra took to X and wrote that he resigned because of compelling political reasons.
