Maldives Envoy to India, Ibrahim Shaheeb was on January 08 seen leaving the Ministry of External Affairs in the national capital's South Block. This comes amid a row over derogatory social media remarks by some ministers in Maldives on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to Lakshadweep. Maldives High Commissioner to India Ibrahim Shaheeb was seen arriving at the MEA office building and leaving a short while later. A massive row was triggered last week after Maldives deputy minister, along with other cabinet members and government officials, made disparaging and unsavoury references to PM Modi's Lakshadweep visit.

Dunki is about a bunch of young people from Punjab who aspire to go to London. However, the journey isn't easy. Dunki Drop 1 is elevated, with a soulful track crooned by Sonu Nigam. INDIA Alliance: Akhilesh Yadav lashes out at Congress over seat-sharing

There seems to be a rift in the INDIA alliance as Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav on October 19 lashed out at Congress for not sharing seats for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections and said that he would not have trusted the Congress if he had known that Congress leaders would betray them. “The state chief has no authority. He was not there in the meeting held at Patna, Mumbai. What does he know about the INDIA alliance? These people from Congress are involved with the BJP. If I had known that the alliance is not on the state level then I would not have sent SP leaders to Digvijaya Singh...I would not have trusted them if I had known that people from Congress would betray us...,” said Akhilesh Yadav. Notably, the Samajwadi Party has released its second list of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly polls on October 18. The party has declared the names of a total of 22 candidates in the second list.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 30 launched a unique week-long programme for Aspirational Blocks in the country called 'Sankalp Saptaah' at Bharat Mandapam, in the national capital.Addressing the event, he said, ‘The Aspirational Districts Program has changed the lives of more than 25 crore people in 112 districts of the country. There has been a change in the quality of life.”He stated, “The Bharat Mandapam, where world leaders had gathered to discuss global issues, is now hosting individuals who bring about changes at the grassroots level. For me, this summit is as significant as the G20 summit.” “This program ('Sankalp Saptaah') is a symbol of the success of Team India. This symbolises the spirit of everyone's effort. This program is also important for the future of India. In this, there is a reflection of accomplishment through resolution,” the PM added.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s fans are going gaga and can’t keep calm and control their excitement as his much-awaited movie ‘Jawan’ has hit the theatres on September 07. The ‘Jawan’ mania brought fans of SRK to Mumbai's Getty Galaxy Theatre at 6 am where they waited anxiously for the theater’s gates to open to watch the first-day-first-show. Theatres have been jam-packed since morning not only in Mumbai but in Srinagar INOX too and across the country. Most of the fans were seen dancing to the tune of drums and chanting the dialogue like ‘Bete ko hath lagaane se pehle baap se baat kar’ while giving their reactions. Directed by Atlee, the movie starrer Shah Rukh Khan alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has already amassed an impressive Rs 51.17 crore in worldwide advance bookings, and it has managed to surpass the opening day record of 'Pathaan' in India. SRK travelled to several places for 'Jawan' promotions. He attended the grand pre-release event in Chennai. He also visited Dubai, where the 'Jawan' trailer was displayed at Burj Khalifa. He also offered prayers at the revered shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu. A few days ago, he sought blessings at the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Tirupati.
