In a tragic incident, a boat carrying school children capsized in the Jhelum river in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on April 16. The Jhelum boat accident killed 4 people. The Srinagar Administration has launched a rescue operation in the area. A State Disaster Response Force team was also deployed. At least six persons including four children have died. Meanwhile, 4 bodies have been recovered, while others are missing. The boat which has capsized was ferrying children from Gandbal to Batwara in Srinagar.
