Aviation veteran Willie Walsh has assumed charge as IndiGo's Chief Executive Officer, taking over as the airline accelerates its international expansion. The former IATA chief will lead the carrier's overall strategy, operations and next phase of global growth

The airline has temporarily reduced its flying schedule, cancelling all services to and from Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, and Tel Aviv until later this month. Flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until later this year
