Gurdeep Singh, a native of Kapurthala in Punjab, was killed in a shooting incident in Brooklyn on August 21 (local time). According to an NDTV report, Singh had travelled to the United States 13 years ago after taking a loan, with the hope of earning a livelihood and providing a better future for his parents in India
