On 24th of April, a gruesome murder took place near India Gate, New Delhi. A 25-year-old ice cream vendor named Prabhakar was stabbed to death during a fight near India Gate late Wednesday evening. A case of murder was registered under Section 302 IPC. The preliminary investigation suggests that Prabhat was selling ice cream when he had an argument with a customer over payment. The matter escalated and the accused stabbed Prabhat with a knife, before running away from the crime spot. Prabhat rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. The police arrested the accused, who was on the run after identifying him with the assistance of CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops. He has been brought to the police station for further information.

Daughter of Congress Corporator Niranjan Hiremath - Neha was stabbed to death by Fayaz, her ex-classmate inside her college campus. Neha was declared ‘brought dead’ after she was rushed to the hospital post the incident. Pro-Hindu groups and BJP supporters also staged a protest outside the Vidyanagar Police Station.

Delhi police arrested Aftab Poonawala, who allegedly killed his 26 year old live-in partner, Shraddha and was sent to police custody for five days. The accused strangled Shraddha to death and chopped her body into 35 pieces. He later disposed them off in the Mehrauli forest in Delhi for 16 days. Aftab told Delhi police that he murdered Shraddha because she started forcing him for marriage.
