Israel-Hamas Conflict: IDF resumed combat operations against Hamas after accusing latter of violating a temporary truce. Soon after Hamas fired missiles toward Israeli territory, IDF ‘restarted’ combat operations against militant group. In the hour before the truce was set to end, Hamas-affiliated media also reported sounds of explosions and gunfire in Gaza. The seven-day pause began on November 24 and was extended twice, allowing for the exchange of dozens of hostages. After a long haul of over 40 days, Israel and Hamas have agreed on a four-day ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. The decision has been made to allow the release of 50 hostages held in Gaza in exchange for 150 Palestinians jailed in Israel. Other than that, the entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged Gaza Strip will also be allowed. Israel’s Government released a statement describing the conditions of the release of hostages. As per the statement, 50 women and children will be released over four days during which there will be a pause in fighting. Hamas said that they would release 50 hostages in exchange for 150 Palestinian women, children who are held in Israeli jails. However, Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu clarified that the country is still at war with Hamas. Other than Israelis, over half the hostages held foreign and dual citizenship from some 40 countries including US, Britain, France. According to the Israeli media, the first release of hostages is expected on November 23.

It has been a month of the bloody Israel-Hamas conflict. Israel Defense Forces have intensified its ground ops and have reached the ‘heart’ of Hamas in Gaza Strip. Hamas’ vast tunnel network is one of the targets of the Israeli Military and they are continuing to pound the tunnels. The Israeli military released video on November 8 of what they say is strike on Hamas tunnel situated near a school in southern Gaza. Recently, IDF destroyed a strategic tunnel of Hamas which was built beneath a children’s amusement park. Other than that, a tunnel near a university was also bombed by the Israel Defense Forces. IDF also released a video of a school being used by Hamas to hide rocket launch pads. Since the war broke out, Hamas has been accused of using civilians of Gaza as a shield. Reuters cited its sources claiming that Hamas has around 40,000 fighters. They can move around the enclave using a vast web of fortified tunnels, hundreds of kilometers long up to 80 meters deep.

Amid the Israel-Hamas conflict, Israel's military released footage on Sunday (November 5) of what they say is the latest footage of tanks and soldiers in Gaza as the land operation unfolds amid a diplomatic stalemate of a humanitarian ceasefire for the embattled enclave. In the video, soldiers are seen walking amid rubble, tanks firing and large explosions. Israel continued to strike Gaza Strip by air, sea, and ground overnight. Gaza health officials said Israeli air strikes destroyed a cluster of houses in the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. Health officials said on Saturday (November 4) more than 9,488 Palestinians have been killed in the war, which began when Hamas fighters launched a surprise attack on southern Israel on Oct. 7, killing 1,400 people and taking more than 240 others hostage.

The eliminated militant Wail Asfa was the commander of Deir al-Balah Battalion in the Central Camps Brigade. There seems to be no chance of a ceasefire in sight as the Israel-Hamas conflict gets ugly. Scores of people including children have been ruthlessly killed in Gaza after Israel started a crackdown in the region. The IDF continued to pound Hamas hideouts, including the mystic tunnels, and destroy them PM Netanyahu on Nov 05, rejected calls for a ceasefire in Gaza until all 240 hostages captured by the militants are released.
