Heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm in several areas caused extensive waterlogging across the city, forcing the closure of key stretches including the Andheri Subway. The city's suburban railway network, the lifeline of Mumbai, also faced significant disruption. The situation turned tragic in South Mumbai after a portion of Surya Prakash Building in Walkeshwar collapsed amid the heavy rain.
