PM Modi was seen helping octogenarian Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan to adjust the table on stage. Both, PM Modi and Chhattisgarh Governor were seen sharing a smile. Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sai and his two deputies during a grand ceremony held at the Science College ground attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, Union ministers Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari, and chief ministers of some states.

Big moist attack happened in Chhattisgarh on April 26. Vehicle carrying DRG personnel and 10 Jawans were killed in a maoist attack. One driver who was carrying the security personnel was also killed in an IED blast. The incident took place in Dantewada. “Maoists won’t be spread,” said CM Bhagel after the attack. Home minister also contacted CM Bhagel. Combing operations are still underway in Chhattisgarh.

The Chhattisgarh Assembly on Friday unanimously passed two amendment bills on reservation. The bills are to amend reservation in government jobs and admission in educational institutions in proportion to the population of different categories. The bills are taking the total reservation quota in the state to 76 per cent. CM Bhupesh Baghel tabled the Chhattisgarh Public Service Amendment Bill and Chhattisgarh Educational Institutions Amendment Bill.
