On August 27, India handed over the B20 (Business 20) presidency to Brazil. The Business 20 (B20) is the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community. The presidency was officially handed over to Rafael Lucchesi, Director General of SENAI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the B20 Summit. Earlier in the day, EAM Jaishankar also addressed the Business 20 Summit. The three-day summit was held from August 25 to August 27. It was attended by over 1,500 delegates from about 55 countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Mumbai today and was received at the airport by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari. PM Modi, along with Union ministers Piyush Goyal, Ramdas Athavale and Bhagwat Karad reached BKC’s MMRDA ground to address a public rally and inaugurate several development projects, including the metro services, the Mumbai One App and NMMC Card. He also inaugurated 20 Babasaheb Apla davakhanas and initiated the redevelopment of municipal hospitals at Oshiwara, Goregaon, Bhandup. PM also started seven waste water treatment facilities with 2464 capacity mld, and boosted concretisation of road works worth rs 6079 crores. His visit also included the initiation of redevelopment of csmt and transferring money directly to 1 lakh plus beneficiaries under the PM Svanidhi Fund.

State Election Commission on November 04 announced dates for Delhi’s MCD Polls. The nominations will start from Monday 7th November 2022 and will be open till 14th November 2022. The civic body has started putting tetrapods, which were removed for the Coastal Road project, back in its place in Marine Drive after residents complained of ‘tremors’ caused by huge waves during high tides. The Nariman Point Churchgate Citizens Welfare Trust or NPCCA on Saturday raised the matter in a letter to the BMC. It stated that several residents of Shree Niketan and Gobind Mahal societies, sea-facing buildings between G and F Roads, have been noticing vibrations in the structures that “feel like tremors”.
