Mexico has been rocked by chaos following the killing of cartel kingpin Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes in a high-stakes military operation in Jalisco. The takedown of the powerful Jalisco New Generation Cartel leader has triggered violent retaliation across multiple states, with buses torched, highways blocked, and gun battles erupting in major cities.  

A powerful 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck southern Mexico early Friday morning, sending shockwaves across major cities, including Acapulco and Mexico City. At least two people were killed and several others injured as buildings swayed, alarms blared, and residents rushed into the streets during emergency evacuations.
