On 26th of February, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation over 2000 railway infrastructure projects worth around Rs 41,000 crores. On this occasion, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the projects. He also vowed to transform the railway industry. Aswini Vaishnaw informed that soon the railway will be exporting India’s Vande Bharat Express for which the process has been started. The Ministry of Railways is readying a roadmap to start the export of Vande Bharat Train by 2025-26. They are also working to increase production of Bande Bharat trains..

Five people were injured after three coaches of Charminar Express got derailed at Nampally Railway Station in Hyderabad on January 10. The injured are undergoing treatment at the railway hospital. The Charminar Express Accident took place at around 9:15 am. Further details are awaited. “The incident took place at around 9:15 am. This Railway station is a terminal station where trains end. The train should have stopped before the end, however the train overshot. 3 coaches of the train got derailed in the incident. Around 5 people who stood near the doors of the train suffered minor injuries in the incident. They are being treated at the Railway Hospital,” said Ch Rakesh, CPRO, South Central Railway.

The Indian men's hockey team dethroned 2018 gold medallist Japan in the men's hockey event on Friday and qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024 by claiming their fourth gold medal in the Asian Games. The Indian team continued to do wonders since the arrival of head coach Craig Fulton as they remained unbeaten throughout the event and defeated Japan by 5-1 in the 19th Asian Games. On September 16, General Manager of Integral Coach Factory, B G Mallya, addressed mediapersons and spoke about major projects, including Vande Bharat Express and Vande Metro. BG Mallya also informed that both projects are scheduled to be completed in this financial year. While addressing the media, B G Mallya, General Manager of Integral Coach Factory, said, "We'll be launching the sleeper version of the Vande within this financial year. We'll also be launching the Vande Metro this financial year. We'll be launching this train for non-air conditioned passengers, which is called a non-AC push-pull train and will have 22 coaches and a locomotive. And that launch is going to happen before October 31st."

According to a report, the number of Kota student suicides has risen up. A total of twenty students have committed suicide in Kota alone in the last eight months. But can this step really help in preventing suicides or it needs a deeper intervention?
