PM Modi praises India's Defence sector growth, calls it a monumental achievement

For the first time in the history of Independent India, defence exports touched a record Rs 21,083 crore in the financial year 2023-24. India’s defence exports saw a record growth of 32.5 pc over the last fiscal year when the figure was Rs 15,920 crore. The recent figures have indicated that the defence exports have grown by 31 times in the last 10 years. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi called India’s defence sector growth a “monumental achievement”. The Prime Minister lauded the team’s hard work those who propelled India onto the global stage in defence. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh hailed PM Modi’s visionary leadership and congratulated all stakeholders. The defence industry, including private sector, has made tremendous efforts in achieving the highest-ever defence exports. The private sector and the DPSUs have contributed about 60 per cent and 40 per cent, respectively.

G20 Summit : Anurag Thakur inspects International Media Centre at ITPO complex

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur inspected the preparations at the International Media Centre on September 05 at the ITPO complex ahead of the G20 Summit in New Delhi which is scheduled to take place on September 09 and 10. The two-day summit will draw leaders and delegates from 40 countries, including the 20 member states. The Group of Twenty (G20) comprises 19 countries - Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the US, the UK, and the European Union.  India has invited Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE as guest countries for the mega-event.

ISRO shares first images of Moon captured by Chandrayaan-3

Indian Space Research Organisation on Sunday took to ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter to share the first images of Moon as captured by Chandrayaan-3. India’s third unmanned Moon mission Chandrayaan-3 on Saturday successfully entered the lunar orbit, 22 days after it was launched for a far more complicated 41-day voyage to reach the lunar south pole where no other nation has gone before.  Over the next 24 hours, a set of complex maneuvers performed by the Telemetry, Tracking, and Command Network in Bengaluru will ensure that the module is pulled into the Moon's gravitational sphere in a process called Lunar Orbit Insertion.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is carrying out a scientific survey in the Gyanvapi complex. Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, representing the Hindu side in Gyanvapi Mosque case, on August 06, informed that he pointed out a hollow sound beneath the central dome which is now under scrutiny. "Yesterday, a detailed study of the western wall was done. The grass in the area from the western wall to barricading was removed. The 'tahkhana' was cleaned and exhaust is being installed. I pointed out a hollow sound beneath the central dome, it is being investigated. An area beside the central dome, which is covered artificially, was also pointed out. So, investigations are going on. This is a long investigation and it continues gradually," he said while speaking to ANI.

While addressing the inauguration event, PM Modi took a jibe at the opposition and said that those who run the shop of hatred by doing politics of language will shutter down. Furthermore, he informed that now students can pursue their higher studies in the Indian regional language.  During the program, Prime Minister released the first installment of funds under the PM SHRI Scheme. These schools will nurture students in a way that they become engaged, productive, and contributing citizens for building an equitable, inclusive, and plural society as envisaged by National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Prime Minister also released education and skill curriculum books translated into 12 Indian languages.

PM Modi piloted a drone and dedicated the grand G20 venue ‘International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre’ (IECC) to the nation on July 26. PM Modi’s vision of having a world-class infrastructure for hosting meetings, conferences and exhibitions in the country has led to the conceptualization of the IECC at Pragati Maidan. The project, which revamped Pragati Maidan was developed as a National project at a cost of about Rs 2700 crore. A major fire broke out at a commercial complex in Maharashtra's Thane city on the night of Tuesday, April 18th. Officials said it was brought under control after 10 hours on Wednesday morning. At least 15 vehicles parked in the building were charred and many offices were destroyed. There was no report of any casualty. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

India Signs Pact With Japan To Design Bullet Train Station At Mumbai's BKC

India on March 20 signed a historic pact of approx. Rs 3,000 crores with Japanese government, for work related to the design, construction of the underground Mumbai High-Speed Rail Station. This is first contract being awarded on the Maharashtra side of Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed bullet train corridor. The total area of the station complex is 4.85 hectares and total completion time is expected to be 54 months from the date of commencement. The station will have six platforms and length of each platform is approximately 415 metres, which is sufficient to accommodate a 16-coach bullet train. It is pertinent to note that Bandra Kurla Complex HSR station is the only underground station on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. The platform is planned at a depth of about 24 meters from the ground level and will have three floors including a platform, concourse and service floor. Two entry/exit points are planned one to facilitate access to the nearby metro station and the other towards the adjacent MTNL building.   #BulletTrain #Japan #IndiaJapan
