G20 Summit
Ahead of the G20 meeting in Srinagar, the security arrangement has been tightened across Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces were seen patrolling the region. India is leaving no stone unturned, as along with foot and vehicle patrolling, forces are also keeping an eye on the region through security cameras.

After the horrifying firing incident in Rajouri, the CRPF provided arms training to Village Defence Guards Members of the area. The CRPF along with J&K Police provided weapons training to the Village Defence Guards so that they can retaliate against the enemies if needed. Last week, the administration in the Union territory started reissuing weapons to the VDGs, earlier known as VDCs (village defence committees) after a twin terror attack in Dhangri in Rajouri district killed seven people.

Suspected militants fired at a CRPF patrol group on Wednesday morning, injuring seven personnel. The incident took place near Shiraz Cinema in Khanyar area of the city when the 82nd Battalion were leaving their headquarters. Atleast four CRPF soldiers and four civilians have been injured in a grenade attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Wednesday. Police and additional security forces have been rushed to the spot.
