Delhi has recorded the highest number of e-Zero FIRs among 18 states and Union Territories that have implemented the system for cyber financial fraud cases, the Centre informed Parliament. The e-Zero FIR mechanism enables the automatic registration of complaints reported through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or helpline 1930.

According to official figures, most of the flagged content originated from within India, while almost one-quarter came from accounts based overseas. Officials said many of these accounts used artificial intelligence (AI) tools to create or manipulate content designed to mislead the public
