Gold theft accused gave MHB Colony cops the slip by flying to Kolkata as officers waited for him at railway stations in the city

Byculla Police have registered a case against a Dahisar-based jewellery artisan for allegedly misappropriating 1.09 kg of gold bars worth over Rs1.6 crore entrusted to him for manufacturing antique bangles. Police said the accused allegedly shut his workshop and disappeared without delivering the finished jewellery.
